DESIGN PIER presented C O E X I S T by Daniel Kamp in collaboration with Pékin Fine Arts Gallery at Fine Art Asia / Ink Asia 2019.
“Daniel Kamp creates elemental furniture pieces by carefully composing stones found on Hong Kong Island with sheet metal fabricated on the industrial streets of Kowloon. In 2018, following 18 months of experimentation, Kamp created Concord – a limited edition chair where Kamp painstakingly designs the geometry of a folded steel body to harmonize with the specific stone that it rests on, making each edition unique. Now shown for the first time at Fine Art Asia Kamp reveals Shelter – a console table following the same design process whereby each table is a one of kind , created in response the natural stone that grounds it. “
